WE ARE A CHURCH WITHOUT WALLS

We believe that the Church extends beyond a building and into the lives of people everywhere. Our Outreach Team lives this out as the hands and feet of Jesus, bringing compassion, hope, and direct support into our community every third Saturday. As a member, you have the opportunity to be part of that impact—serving others, meeting real needs, and helping make a lasting difference right where you are.

  • This two-part initiative begins with packing wellness bags at our DC campus on Friday evening, followed by a Saturday morning distribution at McPherson Square. Whether you’re able to serve one day or both, we’re grateful for your support.

We also welcome monetary donations, as well as the following items:

    • Fresh fruit

    • Individually packaged nuts and dried fruit

    • Hand sanitizer or wipes

    • Individual tissue packs

    • Socks

    • Personal hygiene items

    • Mini bottles of water

    • Crackers, granola bars, and similar snacks

  • This three part initiative focuses on giving kids in the community the best start to the school year

    • School Supply Drive — Starting in August we accept donations for various school supplies.

    • Packing Backpacks — Join us as we fill backpacks at our DC campus with collected supplies for students in our church and community.

    • Beautify the Block — Come out to Langdon Elementary School with us as we help prepare the school grounds for the new year

  • During November we collect food for our Thanksgiving Drive and distribute baskets to families in need. We also proudly partner with The Women’s Collective — a local organization supporting women and families impacted by HIV.

  • Being a church without walls means we don’t limit the Church to a building. We believe ministry happens wherever people are—on the streets, in neighborhoods, and in everyday moments where love and compassion are needed.

  • We encourage everyone to become a member first. Membership helps you stay connected, grow spiritually, and discover how to serve in a way that aligns with your gifts.

  • Serving starts with becoming a member. Once you’ve taken that step, we’ll help you discover how your unique gifts and skills can make an impact. From there, you’ll have the opportunity to join a team and begin serving in a way that’s meaningful and aligned with who you are. Start here

  • Outreach is open to any member of our church with a heart to serve. Whether you’re new or have been here for years, there’s a place for you to make a difference.

  • There’s flexibility. You can serve at a single outreach event or choose to be part of the team on an ongoing basis—whatever works best for you.

  • If weather is less than favorable (rain, severe heat/cold) we will postpone and our team lead will communicate all changes with you as soon as possible.

  • Wear something comfortable and appropriate for the weather. Come ready to serve with a positive attitude—everything else will be provided.

  • Yes, financial giving is a powerful way to support outreach. Your generosity helps us reach more people and meet more needs in our community. Select “outreach” from the dropdown menu when making your donation. Give here

  • Donations can be dropped off at our campus during designated times. Specific details are shared with each outreach opportunity.

  • Yes, we lead with respect, kindness, and dignity. We’re there to serve—not to judge—creating a welcoming and safe experience for everyone.
