why we pray

In the bible, Daniel prayed for 21 days while seeking wisdom and understanding from God. This focused season helps us as believers align our hearts with God, sharpen our spiritual sensitivity, and start the year depending on Him — not ourselves. As a church we pray and fast from January 2 - 23.

why we fast

we fast to reset our focus on god by removing the distractions that often pull our attention away from him. it also serves as an offering of sacrifice — giving up the natural things we want to receive the divine things that god has for us.

january 2nd - 23rd

We invite you to join us as we begin our “No Meats, No Sweets” fast. We also encourage you to fast one non food item that is hindering you from going deeper in your relationship with God.

though the fast should be a challenge, know your options and seek guidance regarding which fast is right for you.

 Philippians 3:10-11 MSG

I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, and go all the way with him to death itself. If there was any way to get in on the resurrection from the dead, I wanted to do it.

Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
